Recipe: Raspberry Flavoured Gin

This time of year is great for some amazing seasonal produce. From Strawberries to Courgettes to Elderflower. Summer is finally here and there is an abundance of tasty fresh produce out there. So why not grab some fantastic glass bottles and glass jars and create your own summer treats.

Last year we brought you recipes for both Strawberry jam and Elderflower cordial. So this year we have decided to make something with some tasty British Raspberries. And what's better than making some tasty Raspberry flavoured gin.

This is the perfect recipe to show off our amazing range of glass spirit bottles. In particular our range of 700ml spirit bottles. Including the 700ml Polo, 700ml Nocturne and the 700ml Olio Bottle. Any one of these beautiful 700ml spirit bottles will be perfect for storing your home made Raspberry gin in.

Method

  1. Place the raspberries, sugar and gin in your sterlised large jar.

  2. Mix together and then seal the jar.

  3. Store in a cool dark place for a couple of weeks. Give the jar a stir and a taste every couple of days to see how it's coming along.

  4. After two weeks strain the liquid in to your chosen 700ml spirit bottle. Like our 700ml Polo bottle.

  5. Don't throw away your gin infused raspberries! You can save these to stir in to ice cream or use in a trifle!

How simple is this recipe! We can't believe how easy it is to make some delicious raspberry flavoured gin. Why not grab some bottles, some raspberries and some gin and make your own this weekend!

And why stop at raspberry gin! You can use the same method with different soft fruits like strawberries and blueberries. You can even switch the gin for vodka if you want to mix things up even more.
